This Seafood Guide highlights the importance of taking a responsible buying decision in order to save our oceans and secure the livelihoods of people who depend on them. Overfishing, pirate fishing and unsustainable fishing practices endanger our precious marine resources. But worldwide, more than 800 million people depend on fish for food and income – especially in developing countries. This seafood guide is to help consumers make a sustainable choice. To make a difference.

This seafood guide is a product of WWF’s EU-co-funded Fish Forward project. In 11 European  countries, WWF is raising awareness of sustainable seafood consumption. European seafood consumers are encouraged to support nature and people through their fish consumption habits.
